Introduction
On October 27, 2007, we tagged along with some new friends from the US Consulate (and their kids) to visit the Panda Research Center, which is located on the outskirts of Chengdu. Approximately 30 minutes by car, the proximity of 30+ pandas is a fairly unique Chengdu experience. As you will see, the research center allows you to have some close encounters with these cute creatures... for a small donation of course. What you won't see on our blog are the adorable cubs that must be only 1-2 months old. No photos of these precious little ones are allowed. You just have to come to Chengdu and visit us to see them for yourselves!
